Our first release!

So we are finally here.  From Monday we begin releasing the first Chronicle of The Chronicles of Atom and Luna.

TALES FROM THE FOREST is a series of audio tales (each a story in its own right) which introduce us to the magical forest our heroes must pass through in order to find Old Mother Redbeard.  Each tale is written by BBC 6 Music’s Murray Lachlan Young, with music by Paul Hartnoll (Orbital), creatively directed by Nina Hajiyianni and with illustrations by Bek Palmer

TALES FROM THE FOREST marks the start of THE CHRONICLES OF ATOM & LUNA, an epic tale which brings to life the magical world of Atom and Luna across a range of live and digital forms. The over arching story centres around 11 year old twins Atom & Luna – who are left home alone in the care of their magical child minder, Iffly Sney. But when Iffly falls terribly ill, only the twins can save him by seeking out the mysterious Old Mother Redbeard. It is a journey which will change their lives forever.

Murray said: ‘'In lockdown we started mining a story world that could not be contained by a single form, and rather than put the brakes on we let the story tell itself in the way it wanted to! So, we find ourselves starting with our audio tales (perfect bedtime listening in the run up to Christmas).  We have several digital surprises up our sleeves for Spring 21 and then the more traditional book and theatre show will follow in Autumn 21/ Spring 22.  Right now, I'm excited by how as storytellers we can continue telling stories to as many people as possible in these unusual times'

As Murray says further Chronicles in the project will be announced across various live and digital platforms in 2021. To find out more about how the story will unfurl sign up to our newsletter.
